Scars - Day 16

Go back to the main site unless you really want to see this.  Go now.  I don't want to hear about how you were here and were horrified...the lipofat site is for those that actually want to see the surgical results and are up for photos during the healing stage.

This was day 16.  I chose not to take earlier photos other than the taped ones, because there was little you could see with the drains and surgical tapes in the way.  From this stage I will take new photos about every week to show the healing and improvement over time.

To someone unfamiliar with what scars from a periareolar breast augmentation / lift and abdominoplasty look like, this is the stage at which it looks its very ugliest.  To me it looks incredible as I know how it typically looks now (much worse), and how it heals from here.

From this stage, as soon as the last of the dissolving stitches are gone, I will start wearing silicone sheeting over the scars for three months, which will help them to smooth out and to heal to a very thin little white line.  Right now the skin is puckered and pulled as its under tension...it is either pulled incredibly tight (over the stomach) or is stretched around the implants (breasts).  The puckering / pulling will go away over the next 4-6 weeks.  In 3 months, the scars will be healing nicely, and in 6-9 months I'll be able to tell what (if anything) I need in the way of scar therapy.

So first, breasts

The areas of unevenness / puckering around the incision will smooth out over the next little while.  This is an amazing scar appearance for this early on - I'm really pleased.

And the abdominal incision:

Yay Microsoft Paint...these underwear don't look so sheer without the flash ;)

The scar's uneven-line appearance comes from the extent of pulling as the skin heals - it will flatten out to be a smooth and relatively flat line too.  As with the breast scars there is pulling and puckering at the scar site, that will settle in the months to come.

I'll aim for new pictures on Day 21, Day 28, etc.  These are taken in a mirror - eventually I will get someone to do some better scar close-ups.

Post Drains

Once again, you shouldn't BE here if you don't want to see steri-strips, bruising, incisions and fierce swelling so bad that its stretching my skin out and making lines.  But, for those of you with the fortitude and stomach to be here for this stage of it, here is day 8:

Brilliant Shower Skirt

You shouldn't be looking at this site if you can't handle the rougher pictures darlings, so please no complaints about the harshness of steri-strips around the areolar incisions.

For those of you brave enough to be here, have you ever WITNESSED so brilliant a shower costume???

The surgical drains couldn't get wet, so this let me wash my lovely hair, upper body and legs while relying on a more careful wash and rinse process for the rest of me.  Yes, it is post-op brilliance.  Boxhead may patent this:

And yes, it will take two weeks for the breast swelling to come down.  This is not the final desired size, JSYK
